Hemlock Springs Historic Crafts and Cultural Arts Center and The Red Bird House Vacation Rental will be holding an Open House on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from
10am - 2pm.
If you've ever wanted to see the Center, now is your chance! Hemlock Springs Historic Crafts and Cultural Arts Center was built to create a learning environment in a natural setting that will encourage the preservation of the old ways and expand the mind and soul through participation in the arts in nature. The beautiful Allegheny Mountains provide the perfect setting for the Hemlock Springs complexthe mountains create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere far from the bustling urban crowds, an atmosphere that brings you back in touch with nature . . . and yourself. While in this enchanting setting surrounded by beautiful gardens, you will be able to learn the
old-fashioned crafts associated with the northern Appalachian region. The historic crafts of this culture are in great demand and the skills used in creating these masterpieces are slowly being lost in our modern world. Environmental programs are also offered, making use of the natural world that surrounds the Center. Tours of

The Center is located at 72 Mitcheltree Hollow Lane just off Gardeau Road in Keating Summit, Pennsylvania.
Tours of the newly-renovated Red Bird House will also be available during the same time period as well as information on rates and availability. Located next to Hemlock Springs Historic Crafts & Cultural Arts Center, the Red Bird House is in the tiny village of Keating Summit, nestled in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains. With all the amenities of home but the warmth and coziness of a camp, the Red Bird House is your perfect home away from home.
